A Intimate Farmhouse Wedding at Zingerman’s Cornman Farms by Ann Arbor Wedding Photographer: ME+HIM Photography
Farmhouse Wedding :: Ann Arbor, Michigan :: Zingerman’s Cornman Farms
A soft warm breeze, a slow day, the laughs of close friends and family and the muted contentment of a perfect day. That’s what the memories of Sarah & Chris’ wedding feels like for us. When you celebrate with intentionality and allow your hard work to unfold naturally on the wedding day a beautiful thing happens: it all just works.
Sarah and Chris spent time together the morning of the wedding laughing and chatting as Sarah was getting her hair and makeup done. I remember that when we were talking about their relationship we asked them what their perfect day would be like, here’s what Sarah said:
“We would be somewhere on vacation near a coastline- we sleep in, have morning coffee, listen to music as we get ready. We pack a day bag and head to the beach! We read, catch some rays, and drink wine by the water. We like to recharge from social events alone together, but we also like to go on adventures near and far, spending time outdoors.” |
Which sounds suspiciously like the story of how Chris proposed:
“Chris proposed on North Bar Lake in Empire, MI- a small lake that connects to Lake Michigan south of Sleeping Bear Dunes. We had a picnic on the lake at sunset in late September. 70 degree weather and no one else was there!” |
We can really see how these carefully laid out thoughts translated into their wedding day. You can see it in the smallest details and the biggest googley eyes they made at each other. One of the things that we really connected with them on was the way they wanted their wedding to feel: comfortable, intimate and soft. They wanted it to feel like they were at a summer picnic with all their loved ones. I think you will agree that they got exactly what they wanted.
