A Coppes Commons Nappanee Indiana Engagement Session At The Farmhouse Weddings by Destination Wedding Photographer: ME+HIM Photography
“We love the things we love for what they are.”
― Robert Frost
The most important thing for us to do when photographing a couple is understand who they are. It’s a powerful thing to create an image, but it’s so much more moving of an experience to document joy and love and contentment and commitment and all the other things that make up a relationship.
Before we begin a shoot, or a blog post, or an album, we think about who you are. You aren’t just clients or customers to us. You’re people. People that are taking a journey together and who’ve trusted us to document a part of that journey. We have to suss out what you’re thinking and feeling towards each other. How do you view yourselves? How do you view each other? It’s a process. But it’s one that is so rewarding and enjoyable.
Sarah and Obadiah are old souls. We knew it from the first time we met with them. They have a tremendous faith in God and in each other. There is conviction and sureness. You can see it in the way Sarah looks at Oby after he does something goofy, or the way Oby holds Sarah in a still moment as the sun set. It’s a feeling that you can’t really describe, but you still know exactly what I’m saying. We are so proud they shared these moments with us.
